Or maybe you know someone battling depression or an eating disorder as a result of obsessively criticizing their image. Teen girls feel immense pressure to be thin and fit into sexual ideals placed by our own society as well as mainstream media. Girls seem now more than ever to be looking towards each other fixating on flaws, constantly comparing or judging against other women. Our young girls notice this behavior and may pick up unhealthy habits or engage in destructive behavior as a result of these immense pressures.
